Liquid Sun

i.

Sun rising with your smile,
make the darkness 
hide it's torment
behind your teeth.

I could never shine like you.

ii. 

Submerged in tears,
proximity my only 
life vest.

I am lost at sea.
Nauseated by 
emotional upheaval.

When did I get lost? 

iii.

Patience is a virtue
bottling the 
carbonation in my throat. 

If you shake me,
                        I will implode.

iv. 

A liquid sun
slipping through 
my fingertips.
Our interactions
are intangible. 

I wish I could 
staple you to 
my heart,
so I'd never worry 
about you 
evaporating.
