How will I heal without your hand holding my skin together?

Porcelain faced
My eyes shine with loss

I'm losing more of you
every day

You were the only one
who not only
saw through
my facade
but
cut through
my pain

Now I'm the one
left
holding
the
knife.

Then and Now

I miss you more than anything.
You used to sing
words I would hear
and start to tear.

Water splashing onto the ground.
The lost heart found,
But that was then,
before love dimmed.

I've made stinging cuts with my blade
Scars that won't fade
are on the place
you'd rest your face.
